It's Wicked...It's Lovely...It's Wicked Lovely!

I just bought another book tonight at Walmart as I stumbled upon my old gift card from my 13th birthday. I have many gift cards actually. So I brought two along thinking since they both have ten dollars on them, I'd get two books. While at Walmart I picked out Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr (the first book in a series of three) and Revelations by Melissa de la Cruz (the third book in the Blood Bloods series). Yes, I am also finding it wonderfully ironic that their names both start with a "m" and end with an "a."

But then it turns out that one of the gift cards I brought along only has one dollar on it (I brought the wrong gift card) so I only got to buy one book. I decided on Wicked Lovely because I'm still not done with the second book in the Blue Bloods series Masquerade.

Here's what the back says:

"RULE #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries.

RULE #2: Don't speak to invisible faeries.

RULE #1: Don't ever attract their attention.

Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world. When the rules that have kept Aislinn safe from them stop working, everything is suddenly on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything.

Faery intrigue, mortal love, and the clash of ancient rules and modern expectations swirl together in Melissa Marr's stunning twenty-first century faery tale."

I've read a bit of the beginning when I borrowed the book from a friend, but I gave it back before I finished it. (I have an issue reading books I borrow from people; I end up not reading the book at all because I feel pressured.)

Do these kind of books interest you?

I just wish there was only one way to spell fairy. I really don't like it when different spellings for words pop up as a kind of originality.

*shrugs* I think it's kind of cool. Just like vampire is sometimes spell "vampyre."
